    Typische traditionelle Bräuche und Rituale bei russischen Hochzeiten sind unter anderem das Brot und Salz-Ritual, bei dem das Brautpaar gemeinsam Brot bricht und es in Salz taucht, das Schuhspiel, bei dem das Brautpaar Fragen beantwortet, indem es jeweils einen Schuh des Partners hochhält, sowie das Werfen von Reis oder Blumen nach der Trauung als Symbol für Glück und Fruchtbarkeit.
