Ways to Unsilence Calls on iPhone
Problems can be even on iPhone, and even with https://apps.apple.com/us/app/pdf-scanner-app-scan-docs-id/id1495971405 app. Is your Apple iPhone not ringing for incoming calls? There are several reasons for this. Read on to learn more about the best ways to mute calls on iPhone.
If your iPhone doesn't ring for incoming calls, it's probably in silent mode. If that's not the reason, an iOS feature, device, or software conflict may be preventing it from ringing. The methods below should help you delete calls on your iPhone.
1. Disable Silent Mode Silent mode is the most common reason that prevents your iPhone from ringing for incoming phone calls and FaceTime. Switch to playback mode by tapping the Mute switch on the left side of the iPhone (above the volume buttons) so the orange color below doesn't show. Silent Mode - Off should appear on the iPhone home screen to confirm.
2. Increase the ringer volume It is also possible that you have set the ringer volume on your iPhone to a level that is too low for you to hear properly. To check, open the Settings app and tap on Sounds & Haptics. Then increase the volume by dragging the slider under Ringtone and highlighting the volume to the right.
If you want to increase or decrease the ringtone volume with the iPhone volume up and down, optionally activate the Change with buttons switch.
3. Disable Do Not Disturb/Focus Other features that not only mutes but also block calls are Do Not Disturb (iOS 14 and earlier) and Focus (iOS 15 and later). To turn it off, open Control Center (swipe down from the top right corner of the screen or double-click the Home button). Then tap on the Moon icon (DND) or the profile icon (Focus).
You can also check whether Do Not Disturb or Focus is set to activate on a schedule or allow calls from certain contacts even when the feature is enabled. To learn more, see how Do Not Disturb and Focus work on iPhone.
4. Check your sleep schedule If you have set a sleep schedule for your iPhone, it may automatically trigger Do Not Disturb or Sleep. It follows that calls are muted. To stop this, open the Health app, click Browse and select Sleep. Then tap Full schedule and settings and turn off the switch next to a Use sleep schedule (or turn off Sleep schedule if you want to turn off sleep schedule completely). If your iPhone is running iOS 13 or earlier, open the Clock app, tap Sleep > Settings, and turn off the switch next to Do not disturb during sleep.
5. Disable Mute Unknown Callers To reduce spam calls, your iPhone has a built-in feature that blocks unknown numbers—those not in your contact list. But it can also prevent important calls from reaching you and sending them to voicemail. To turn this off, open the Settings app on your iPhone, select Phone, and tap Mute Unknown Callers. Then on the next screen, turn off the Mute Unknown Callers switch.
